Our support staff work in a variety of roles to assist operations across the company, including Human Resources, Accounting, IT, Purchasing, and Logistics.

On July 7, 1986, Epson Portland Inc. opened as Epson's first U.S. manufacturing facility. In the beginning, we manufactured dot matrix printers and circuit boards. Production later included Epson Stylus color printers and Inkjet print heads.

Onsite precision injection molding was established to create plastic parts for printer production. Today, the injection molding machines are used to create 38 different plastic parts for ink cartridge production.

Due to global manufacturing conditions, our core business shifted from the labor intensive manufacturing of Inkjet printers to the automated manufacturing of ink cartridges.

U.S. production expanded to include Genuine Epson Ink.

Epson consolidated U.S. ink cartridge operations by moving the ink cartridge packaging and logistics center to Hillsboro, Oregon.

EPI added ink bottle production to its facility to accommodate the increase in EcoTankprinter sales in the U.S.
