Rated 4 out of 5 by from Digitizing 50 years of Picture taking The scanner is incredibly fast. A regular roll of 36 Prints can be done in under 60 seconds, however that is on the 300dpi setting. The images are not particularly high quality at that setting. I then put the scanner on the highest setting of 1200dpi while better images still not like my 6.1 Megapixel SLR images. This is the reason for only four stars. Operationally the scanner is great with only a few jams due to sticky photos. Cleaning the lens is easy enough as the whole mechanism open up for easy access, with the possibly too frequent auto reminder to clean your scanner lenses there should no problem with remembering to clean them. For the task I set out to do this is making that job very easy and quick. So far I have scanned over 4500 photos and no problems

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A real life saver We bought this a couple of months ago and so far have scanned over 20,000 photos with it. We have about 100,000 to go so I should check back in with you all then. So far this device is amazing, it really does scan 1 a second its very impressive to watch. I typically load up about 40 at a time and it just whizzes' through them. The software is very competent and easy to use as well. I highly recommend this if you have a lot to scan.

I saved hundreds of dollars by buying this scanner and doing it at our leisure. Plus can now loan the scanner to friends and family so they can do the same. Easy setup and operation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! This scanner is cute, small and amazing. It scans pictures beautifully and scans both sides of the photo at ones. Easy to organize the photos while saving. I have also ended up using it for documents. It can scan reams of documents at a fast clip and good quality. I plan to use it to archive a lot of family letters, etc. It also scans both sides of the document at once as needed - WOW. You can also change the dpi for both photos and documents. You can ask it to correct photos and it saves both the original and the corrected photo so you can choose the best one later or keep them both.
