My only real complaint with this printer is with the design department at Epson. Who ever thought that replacing the wonderful toggle switch, which shifts the tray from paper to DVD, with the plug-in, plug-out shelf contraption, should have their head examined with a SLEDGE HAMMER!\n\nWhen I found the R280 was on sale and took the same cartridges as the R260, I purchased it online. When I hooked it up and turned it on, it showed that the Cyan cartridge was empty. I pulled out the brand new Epson cartridge, which came with the printer, and it had weight. So, therefore it was full of ink. Then I swapped the Epson cartridge with a counterfeit Chinese cartridge and the ink indicator for Cyan read OK but the computer showed that all the rest of the cartridges were now empty. I turned off the printer and turned it back on. This time only the yellow cartridge showed empty. I turned off the printer and turned it back on. This time the Magenta showed empty...and so on. After turning the printer off and on enough times, it finally recognized all the cartridges and all was well until one of the cartridges ran out. So I play this game of off and on.
