The directions are well spelled out. It took us 2 half days to get it up and running. We have a wireless router, because we have a computer, kindle, and cell phone and now the printer that can all work with wireless router. It's small and compact, and supposedly will print 2400 pages before ink runs out. I do have to say it's Great, once you get over the installation instructions. I would highly recommend this printer to everyone, just printed a book manuscript of 200 pages, Excellent!
