No so sure after purchasing the Epson XP-6100. The design creates a few problems because of the paper and output trays. First, they are very flimsy, especially the one for the photo paper. It can easily come out completely and can also be easily pushed in too far. All the paper loading has to be done with the output tray all the way in. Until you get the hang of it you will forget to pull out the output tray in order to print and therefore you get the error message. It gets annoying. All the other Epson printers I owned could take a decent amount of abuse with no issues. This one needs to be handled with white gloves. I've had and used the printer for a month now. The blues on the Canon are a little deeper - possibly due to a sixth ink cartridge called photo-blue.  And the Canon has a touch screen which the smaller Epson screen lacks. Also, the output tray on the Canon advances and retracts under power while the one on the Epson does not.
