I got mine with 500 lamp life that's nothing. Did have to order a new chief mount. Know I went pro I would not get a lower contrast projector. Even with 2400 lumens hard to watch in day time. Technology has changed in the last 6 years. Sharp, clear, great colors. The projector comes on much faster than my old one did. Right out of the box, it did not require much tweaking of the settings to achieve a wonderful image. It is quiet as well.\n\nThe only issue I have had is overheating but that is probably due to the location in the soffit of the ceiling and lack of good air circulation.
