While the resolution was indeed better, they lie about their brightness. Epson wins despite the resolution. It doesn’t help me if it’s too dark to see. Condescending customer support person and provided information that I knew to be inaccurate...for instance that I had to save my photo as a document to print it from the rear tray. Absurd!\r\nAfter several hours on the phone I am still unable to print on card stock or water color paper from the rear feed. Of course, it's too thick to feed through the internal paper tray. I so want my Cannon back and am regretting my purchase, although with the proper tech support my mind could be modestly changed.\r\nThe front control panel flips up and does not seem nearly as sturdy as the Cannon. The vertical is automatic that works well but you can do it manually too. The sound from the speaker is better than other projectors that I have used. The pico projector wasn't bright enough for presentations or a home theater. The room had to essentially be pitch black, and even then it was dim. Not the VS250. It is very bright, even in daylight, and the colors are vivid and the picture is clear. I'm using it along with a Verizon Fios DVR and the quality of the picture is really good. I have the projector about 11 ft away from a white screen and I'm sitting about 6 feet behind the projector. Is the picture as good as my 50\" Panasonic plasma tv? No. But the Epson holds its own and for the price, and considering how large the image is on the screen, I'm very happy with the results.
