Will I see an "Ink cartridges cannot be recognized" error message in the future when I install a new ink cartridge?

: No. After your printer's firmware is updated, you should not see this error message after you install a genuine Epson ink cartridge.

However, you may see this message when your ink cartridges are about to run out of ink. If you see an "Ink cartridges cannot be recognized" error message simply replace the indicated ink cartridge with a genuine Epson ink cartridge. Your printer and ink cartridges will continue to function normally.
