Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, this is a really nice printer! I got this computer about a week ago and am very happy with it so far. The box, externally, has a lot of info about the printer on it and does a very good job of presenting that information. This is helpful, especially for someone who may panic at the thought of a new printer. Inside the box, the printer is packaged very well and seems protected from shipping issues. I'd like to see more renewable items in the box but that's another discussion. At first glance, the printer looks good and has a fair amount of blue tape keeping the movable parts from shifting during shipment. Be sure to remove all before using (they are all over the unit). I like the overall look of the unit. It seems compact but not so small that it seems incapable of performing it's tasks. Set up was an absolute breeze. I followed the clear instructions and had the ink loaded and printer set up and on my network in a few minutes. I'd advise reading the instructions thoroughly first, then working through the process. That's usually my process and I find that it keeps me from getting tripped up on small timing items. Loading the ink was far easier than I thought it would be and only took a few minutes. Far less messy than I expected and overall, well thought-out. I'm really curious to see how long this type/style of ink lasts during my use. Price for replacement bottles seems fair and comes in at about 75% of normal cartridge refills. After I was ready to go, I went through the alignment process and it was completed rather easily. The idea is to pick the best looking option from a series of printed lines, etc. I found the overall print quality to be very good with little adjustment necessary. Finally, the print quality seems very good overall. I printed about 20 pages of a report (containing text, graphics and photos) I was working on and some text-only and larger print photos. All came out very crisp and clean. Text was very clear and the colors did not bleed or fade during a long print. Not unexpected for a new printer, but I'm be curious to see how it performs in ink usage and print clarity over time. Overall, I'd have to say that I'm happy with the unit's performance over this short time. I might like to see a larger, touch screen on the unit instead of the key-based maneuvering style, but the current screen does well in getting you where you need to go. Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more ink cartridges for me!!!!!!!! I have been using this printer for a few weeks now and couldn’t be happier. First off is the freedom from wasted ink jet cartridges. I was spending a ton of money on ink cartridges a month since we print out lots of forms and letters at the office and this is a incredible bargain when compared to the cost of the refills vs. the cost of ink jet cartridges. The print is smooth and fast and the print quality is great with accurate colors on photo paper if printing photos is your thing. The one issue I have is that you need to excessive this printer regularly. What I mean is that you need to print at least a few pages a month and DO NOT let the ink dry out in the tubes! It is a nightmare to clean the tubes to get it to properly work again and the issue could be avoided by using the printer regularly. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drastically improved interface and toolset There are two main complaints when it comes to home printers, and this is the first time I've seen a printer address both. First, there is usually a high bar of computer experience needed to connect a computer to a printer, either via cable or via wifi, and this was (by far) the best experience I've had. There is a manual that comes with the printer, and an app you can download to walk you through it, both for iOS and Android, and easily downloaded via QR code on the box. Both methods work well, but they do differ a little bit in the order of the steps, so pick one and follow it alone. Second: after the initial setup, and a period of non-use, a home printer will typically have ink gummed up in the print head from drying out. Because this printer has a screen and you can easily navigate to cleaning modes here, it is MUCH easier to get the printer cleaned up and running than it used to be. Without the onboard navigation and settings, you used to have to go find printer settings in windows, dig through the screens, and find "clean print heads" in the maintenance menu. Those days are long gone, and you can get to the settings you need in just a few seconds. This alone is worth the price of admission for me. The printer itself is lightweight, and has easy accessible doors for retrieving papers that will inevitably get stuck. There is a power save mode. The only error I've had so far was when I tried to print a PDF, I would get "paper size loaded does not match file", and it would ask me if this was ok before printing. I dont quite understand why I got this since the PDF and paper loaded were set to the same settings, but its not really an issue since all have you have to do is hit OK. I was just stymied for a second on why it wasnt printing. Printing from the app is great, as is printing pictures off your phone, although I do wish there were more in-app picture settings, as it would be nice to be able to set specific and common photo sizes in the app. To get all those settings, I needed to use the desktop app. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-4800 Wireless Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly good Epson has long been a staple in my home. This particular printer is lightweight and compact, it's small footprint design doesn't take up much space at all. The initial setup and WiFi connection was easy and painless, I was printing in just a matter of minutes. The print quality is excellent, the printed ink dries quickly and doesn't smear. Really appreciate the EcoTank technology, EcoTanks rely on ink bottles and a refillable ink tank system and offer a much higher page yield compared to regular ink cartridges, which minimizes the frequency for refills and results in an extremely low cost per page. Epson went all out with the white color on this model, it's is a nice change-up from the typical black we're used to seeing. Unfortunately there is no paper tray, it utilizes an old-school rear paper feed, however I didn't find this to be a big issue, although potential dust could be a concern. The Epson ET-4800 has a sheet-fed scanner with an automatic document feeder, so you can scan or copy multiple pages at once, also has an integrated fax feature. Sadly it lacks support for any sort of flash memory, but the mobile printing capabilities surely makes up for this. Print speed is satisfactory, not the fastest printer in town but it's certainly been adequate for my needs. Overall, the Epson ET-4800 has very good print quality, relatively quick print speed and the low cost-per-print make this a worthwhile investment. In terms of ink efficiency, you really can’t go wrong with any Ecotank. If you're looking for a compact printer with a full set of features, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Epson ET-4800 to anyone. Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Printer in a Long Time I was very impressed with the set up for the Epson Eco Tank ET 4800. The last printer I bought took forever to install and then figure out how to operate. This printer is a breeze with all the instructions delivered step by step in a phone app. It was like texting with my son (except the app didn’t get frustrated with me). I also love that I can share the printer with my husband just by using a QR code. Every copy or picture I’ve printed has been of very good quality. There aren’t too many bad things to say about this printer except: 1. I’m frustrated the ink bottles all have more than a quarter inch of ink left in them. My parents never let us through away an ‘almost empty’ bottle - wait ‘til it’s empty. I now have four bottles sitting on my shelf taking up inches of space for like a inch and a half of ink. 2. The screen on the printer isn’t much bigger than a postage stamp. I wear bifocals! It’s almost impossible for me to read the text. (Hopefully I won’t have to contact my son for help!) Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice surprise! To start, the printer came very nicely packaged with plenty of styrofoam keeping it safe. I downloaded the Epson SmartPanel app, turned on the printer, and the app immediately recognized the printer and led me step by step through the set up process and connecting to the internet. I had some concern over the ink…worried that it might be a messy process to fill the tanks. My worries we’re definitely unfounded, as filling the ink tanks was a breeze!! No mess, no fuss, quick and easy…and had some ink left over for spare!! Our son goes to virtual school so all his home work has to printed, so with other printers, I’m constantly buying ink. So far, this doesn’t seem to be a problem with the EcoTank. I’ve printed like crazy for a couple of weeks now and my ink levels have barely moved. I love that I can see the ink level right on the front of the Epson printer. Even when I do need ink in the future, replacement ink bottles and much cheaper than old ink cartridges. The print quality is very good and sharp. Pages print faster and much quieter than my old printer, another plus! Scanning and copying are easy as well making it a breeze to send in the son’s completed home work. I have to say, I’m very pleasantly impressed with this printer and I definitely recommend it. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great copies This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-4800 Wireless Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. In packaging and setup were fairly easy. Instructions with included booklet are good. But there is a little juggling of having to download the app at the same time you go through the booklet to get through the setup process correctly. I had to download the app but then deleted it and download it again because of missing a step and it the only way I could get back to that step. You HAVE to allow the app to know your location while using the app, otherwise it won’t work. Filling the ink cartridges was very easy but they can drip ink so be prepared with a cloth or paper towels. I wasn’t abs luckily the drip just was on the printer itself. I would have been very upset had ink dripped on something cloth. All other setup, was easy to get through. Make sure you have your wifi password ready because you need your device you are setting up with to stay close to the printer. The only process that seemed a little more arduous than I would have preferred was doing the printer alignment. You have to go through THREE pages of printing and it wasn’t exactly clear what I was actually going to have to do. I got through that process just by realizing there were only certain options I could choose that would allow me to move forward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product! This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-4800 Wireless Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review,And so far so great! I love the printing capabilities as well as having the ability to just refill the ink with the bottles just to watch them fill up! My pictures that come out when printing on photo paper is amazing quality, it’s like having a photo print shop at your house! The scan is normal so there’s nothing bad to say about it, it’s what expected of the machine! I know that the inkjet printers are supposed to go through many prints without running out of ink so I’m going to test that theory. I would say the only downfall, which isn’t much of a downfall because it’s really what’s needed to get the best quality out of your printer is the extensive set up! You really have to calibrate the printer to be able to print at its best, so if you have bad eyesight definitely get help because it will ask you questions on which print looks better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Printer! This is an amazing printer, I have been using it for the past week and it has been a workhorse. We print a lot in my house. First of all the unboxing was very easy and didn't take long at all. I took my small son and he helped me set it up as it was fun for him. He also helped with the ink as it was very easy to put it, we didn't have to open up the back and put in a cartridge or any of that. Another good thing I liked is that we still have a lot of ink left after all that printing, I don't feel a regular cartridge would have so much ink left after our use. The look of the machine is also good, its sleek and very quiet. My kids have been scared in the past of loud printing, and this one didn't cause them to be scared at all. Overall I love it so much and would recommend this printer to anyone looking for a good eco friendly, clean looking and sleek printer. Rated 5 out of 5 by from High-quality product I am very satisfied with this Epson EcoTank ET-4800 Wireless Supertank Printer. It is high-quality and useful product. The printer comes well packaged. All inks needed, a long power cord, and a quick start guide were included. ET-4800 sets up pretty easily. The Epson software, as well as the Epson Smart Panel, is easy to use for printer management, help and updates. The printer can be connected to any device with Wi-Fi, or trough a cable. I prefer mobile printing, as most convinient and quick for me. I connected to the printer directly without using a router. I am pleased with print speed, quick copying and scanning. Print quality is quite good, and the few photos I have printed out using glossy paper have been excellent. I would highly recommend this printer, as a great small home office printer with easy to fill print ink tanks. Notes:

1 Actual savings and costs will vary considerably based on print tasks, print volumes and usage conditions. Savings and cost per ISO page are based on the cost of replacement ink bottles and the cost of enough standard cartridges to achieve the total page yields of the bottles using the MSRP (USD) and yields for Epson standard-capacity ink cartridges for similarly featured Epson consumer inkjet printers as of October 2020.
2 Part of the ink from the included bottles is used for initial setup; yields are lower than those of replacement ink bottles. Replacement and included ink bottle yields based on the ISO/IEC 24712 pattern with Epson’s methodology. Actual ink yields will vary considerably for reasons including images printed, print settings, temperature and humidity. Yields may be lower when printing infrequently or predominantly with one ink color. All ink colors are used for printing and printer maintenance, and all colors must be available for printing. 3 Individual cartridges estimate based on print yields of a replacement set of black and color ink bottles as compared to Epson standard-capacity ink cartridges for similarly featured printers as of October 2020.
