Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Printer! I was excited to hear of the ink features of this printer. If you have ever used an ink cartridge printer in the past you know that you have to use it or lose it. Ink drying up is always a challenge. Challenge no more with the Epson ET-4800 Wireless Printer. It has an intuitive system that provides approximately 90 ink cartridges worth of ink for each color. This equates to roughly 2 years worth of ink included with the printer. Great move Epson!! :) Let’s not forget the fact that 90 less cartridges for each printer sold is a lot of plastic and waste saved which protects our precious planet. Every bit counts. Ease of use is the name of the game with the Epson ET-4800 Wireless Printer. We love the fact that we are able to print documents and especially pictures directly from our phones and tablets. Just select print from your device and it will find the printer without having to install anything else. You can print from anywhere in the world to this printer. The print quality exceeded my original expectations. The Unique Micro Piezo Heat-Free Technology has impressed me with its sharp quality text and vibrant colors. The small form factor means you can fit it in just about any space while providing the flexibility to print, scan, copy, and even fax. The mobile app had some good options as well. One downside is it does not support automatic double sided printing. Tip: When you fill your color tanks it will appear that there is a bit of ink left over in the ink bottle. Remove the bottle from the ink tank nozzle and place it back. This time, it will discard the rest of the contents into the ink tank. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!! I received the my Epson Printer around 2 weeks ago. I must applaud the shipping packaging because it survived my so not careful FedEx guy. The printer itself, though not very heavy does everything you need and more. Once it was unpacked, the instructions let you know to remove the safety tape they have placed around the printer in spots that could potentially be broken easily. Once I had the tape removed, setting it up was a breeze. You download the Epson app... And it walks you thru each and every instruction. It even allows for you to troubleshoot if things do not go correctly. It was so simple to follow my 10 year old could of had it up and running by himself. The first initial thing is the ink. I love the concept of the ink tanks. The o only issue issues I see with this is, it could be a little more environmentally friendly, it is still alot better than the old methods. The no mess ink bottles is a huge plus, especially in a house with young children. These were so easy and so less messy than what I'm use too... I even allowed my 10 year old to fill the last couple of tanks without incident! Huge props on that Epson!!... In all it took a total of less than ten minutes to set up. That is including filling the ink. The app is super simple to work and I love that I can do everything from my phone. I can even print when I'm away from the house and have it waiting for me when I get home. I will say I was Abit leery considering this is my first Epson printer. But I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends in the future. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this printer!! I have had this printer for about three weeks and I love it. Before even opening the box, I pretty much knew everything I need to know about my printer which was super helpful in knowing what to expect! I usually hate setting up new appliances like this, but the set up was SO easy. The instructions were very clear, and it was put together in just a few minutes. Changing the ink in this printer was so simple, and I am anxious to see how long these cartridges will last me considering they are said to hold way more than tiny, expensive ink cartridges. I use my printer for school to print out different essays, assignments, and flyers. The the print quality is very impressive. Everything turns out super sharp, and is very clean looking. A feature included on this printer that I was very impressed with is the hands-free voice activated printing. Sometimes printers are hard to maneuver to get what you want done, so that makes it simple to just be able to say it. Overall, I have been very impressed with this printer and would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially students looking to buy one! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Printing made easy! We have been using this printer for about a week now and can’t say anything bad about it yet. I am a heavy user, printing multiple page documents a few times a day and it doesn’t skip a beat. Filling the printer with ink is definitely unique with eco tank but super easy to do. No mess and clear instructions. Getting the printer out of the box and running was also a breeze. Clear easy to follow instructions that were done through an iPad made it hassle free. The only gripe I have is that colors don’t come out quite as bright as they should be, but with what I’m printing no one is the wiser. Great product, with great features, in an easy to use platform. Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, this is a really nice printer! I got this computer about a week ago and am very happy with it so far. The box, externally, has a lot of info about the printer on it and does a very good job of presenting that information. This is helpful, especially for someone who may panic at the thought of a new printer. Inside the box, the printer is packaged very well and seems protected from shipping issues. I'd like to see more renewable items in the box but that's another discussion. At first glance, the printer looks good and has a fair amount of blue tape keeping the movable parts from shifting during shipment. Be sure to remove all before using (they are all over the unit). I like the overall look of the unit. It seems compact but not so small that it seems incapable of performing it's tasks. Set up was an absolute breeze. I followed the clear instructions and had the ink loaded and printer set up and on my network in a few minutes. I'd advise reading the instructions thoroughly first, then working through the process. That's usually my process and I find that it keeps me from getting tripped up on small timing items. Loading the ink was far easier than I thought it would be and only took a few minutes. Far less messy than I expected and overall, well thought-out. I'm really curious to see how long this type/style of ink lasts during my use. Price for replacement bottles seems fair and comes in at about 75% of normal cartridge refills. After I was ready to go, I went through the alignment process and it was completed rather easily. The idea is to pick the best looking option from a series of printed lines, etc. I found the overall print quality to be very good with little adjustment necessary. Finally, the print quality seems very good overall. I printed about 20 pages of a report (containing text, graphics and photos) I was working on and some text-only and larger print photos. All came out very crisp and clean. Text was very clear and the colors did not bleed or fade during a long print. Not unexpected for a new printer, but I'm be curious to see how it performs in ink usage and print clarity over time. Overall, I'd have to say that I'm happy with the unit's performance over this short time. I might like to see a larger, touch screen on the unit instead of the key-based maneuvering style, but the current screen does well in getting you where you need to go. Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more ink cartridges for me!!!!!!!! I have been using this printer for a few weeks now and couldn’t be happier. First off is the freedom from wasted ink jet cartridges. I was spending a ton of money on ink cartridges a month since we print out lots of forms and letters at the office and this is a incredible bargain when compared to the cost of the refills vs. the cost of ink jet cartridges. The print is smooth and fast and the print quality is great with accurate colors on photo paper if printing photos is your thing. The one issue I have is that you need to excessive this printer regularly. What I mean is that you need to print at least a few pages a month and DO NOT let the ink dry out in the tubes! It is a nightmare to clean the tubes to get it to properly work again and the issue could be avoided by using the printer regularly. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drastically improved interface and toolset There are two main complaints when it comes to home printers, and this is the first time I've seen a printer address both. First, there is usually a high bar of computer experience needed to connect a computer to a printer, either via cable or via wifi, and this was (by far) the best experience I've had. There is a manual that comes with the printer, and an app you can download to walk you through it, both for iOS and Android, and easily downloaded via QR code on the box. Both methods work well, but they do differ a little bit in the order of the steps, so pick one and follow it alone. Second: after the initial setup, and a period of non-use, a home printer will typically have ink gummed up in the print head from drying out. Because this printer has a screen and you can easily navigate to cleaning modes here, it is MUCH easier to get the printer cleaned up and running than it used to be. Without the onboard navigation and settings, you used to have to go find printer settings in windows, dig through the screens, and find "clean print heads" in the maintenance menu. Those days are long gone, and you can get to the settings you need in just a few seconds. This alone is worth the price of admission for me. The printer itself is lightweight, and has easy accessible doors for retrieving papers that will inevitably get stuck. There is a power save mode. The only error I've had so far was when I tried to print a PDF, I would get "paper size loaded does not match file", and it would ask me if this was ok before printing. I dont quite understand why I got this since the PDF and paper loaded were set to the same settings, but its not really an issue since all have you have to do is hit OK. I was just stymied for a second on why it wasnt printing. Printing from the app is great, as is printing pictures off your phone, although I do wish there were more in-app picture settings, as it would be nice to be able to set specific and common photo sizes in the app. To get all those settings, I needed to use the desktop app. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-4800 Wireless Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly good Epson has long been a staple in my home. This particular printer is lightweight and compact, it's small footprint design doesn't take up much space at all. The initial setup and WiFi connection was easy and painless, I was printing in just a matter of minutes. The print quality is excellent, the printed ink dries quickly and doesn't smear. Really appreciate the EcoTank technology, EcoTanks rely on ink bottles and a refillable ink tank system and offer a much higher page yield compared to regular ink cartridges, which minimizes the frequency for refills and results in an extremely low cost per page. Epson went all out with the white color on this model, it's is a nice change-up from the typical black we're used to seeing. Unfortunately there is no paper tray, it utilizes an old-school rear paper feed, however I didn't find this to be a big issue, although potential dust could be a concern. The Epson ET-4800 has a sheet-fed scanner with an automatic document feeder, so you can scan or copy multiple pages at once, also has an integrated fax feature. Sadly it lacks support for any sort of flash memory, but the mobile printing capabilities surely makes up for this. Print speed is satisfactory, not the fastest printer in town but it's certainly been adequate for my needs. Overall, the Epson ET-4800 has very good print quality, relatively quick print speed and the low cost-per-print make this a worthwhile investment. In terms of ink efficiency, you really can’t go wrong with any Ecotank. If you're looking for a compact printer with a full set of features, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Epson ET-4800 to anyone. Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Printer in a Long Time I was very impressed with the set up for the Epson Eco Tank ET 4800. The last printer I bought took forever to install and then figure out how to operate. This printer is a breeze with all the instructions delivered step by step in a phone app. It was like texting with my son (except the app didn’t get frustrated with me). I also love that I can share the printer with my husband just by using a QR code. Every copy or picture I’ve printed has been of very good quality. There aren’t too many bad things to say about this printer except: 1. I’m frustrated the ink bottles all have more than a quarter inch of ink left in them. My parents never let us through away an ‘almost empty’ bottle - wait ‘til it’s empty. I now have four bottles sitting on my shelf taking up inches of space for like a inch and a half of ink. 2. The screen on the printer isn’t much bigger than a postage stamp. I wear bifocals! It’s almost impossible for me to read the text. (Hopefully I won’t have to contact my son for help!) Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice surprise! To start, the printer came very nicely packaged with plenty of styrofoam keeping it safe. I downloaded the Epson SmartPanel app, turned on the printer, and the app immediately recognized the printer and led me step by step through the set up process and connecting to the internet. I had some concern over the ink…worried that it might be a messy process to fill the tanks. My worries we’re definitely unfounded, as filling the ink tanks was a breeze!! No mess, no fuss, quick and easy…and had some ink left over for spare!! Our son goes to virtual school so all his home work has to printed, so with other printers, I’m constantly buying ink. So far, this doesn’t seem to be a problem with the EcoTank. I’ve printed like crazy for a couple of weeks now and my ink levels have barely moved. I love that I can see the ink level right on the front of the Epson printer. Even when I do need ink in the future, replacement ink bottles and much cheaper than old ink cartridges. The print quality is very good and sharp. Pages print faster and much quieter than my old printer, another plus! Scanning and copying are easy as well making it a breeze to send in the son’s completed home work. I have to say, I’m very pleasantly impressed with this printer and I definitely recommend it. Notes:

1 Actual savings and costs will vary considerably based on print tasks, print volumes and usage conditions. Savings and cost per ISO page are based on the cost of replacement ink bottles and the cost of enough standard cartridges to achieve the total page yields of the bottles using the MSRP (USD) and yields for Epson standard-capacity ink cartridges for similarly featured Epson consumer inkjet printers as of October 2020.
2 Part of the ink from the included bottles is used for initial setup; yields are lower than those of replacement ink bottles. Replacement and included ink bottle yields based on the ISO/IEC 24712 pattern with Epson’s methodology. Actual ink yields will vary considerably for reasons including images printed, print settings, temperature and humidity. Yields may be lower when printing infrequently or predominantly with one ink color. All ink colors are used for printing and printer maintenance, and all colors must be available for printing. 3 Individual cartridges estimate based on print yields of a replacement set of black and color ink bottles as compared to Epson standard-capacity ink cartridges for similarly featured printers as of October 2020.
