Rated 5 out of 5 by from great photo printer I bought this printer because of a Black Friday sale that offered, ultimately, three rebates. It replaced a Stylus Photo R2880 that I had used for many years. The SP 2880 produced great prints and I don't see any difference with the SC P600. A big plus with the P600 is that I can print on plain paper with Photo Black ink. The SP 2880 would not do that. I was forced to switch to Photo Black whenever I wanted to print on glossy paper (my preferred paper). Consequently, I would never print only one photo but wait until I had several that I wanted to print. I like the touch screen feature, which has been very handy. The only problem (resolved) was that the printer, about a week after setup, would occasionally go through a spontaneous cleaning cycle that lasted 5 minutes or more. However, it now lasts only about 15 seconds, a vast improvement. Epson tech support suggested that the humidity in the room might have been too low and that is certainly a possibility. If you mainly print text and not photos, go for a cheaper printer. If you want ultimate quality in photos, this is a great choice. Serious photographers should seriously consider this printer. Resolution and color accuracy are excellent when printing from Photoshop. I have not tried Epson's color controls, and Epson recommends using Photoshop instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great color with one or two drawbacks I am very pleased with the quality of the prints both glossy and matte as well as water color paper. However, the life of the ink cartridges is very short, particularly when compared with my older Epson 3880. Also, the paper feed frequently sends a sheet through then tells me I am out of paper when this is not the case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect right out of box I had my old Epson printer for 15 yrs. Needed a new one I wasn't sure if I would have a hard time setting it up on my Mac. but opened the box read instructions, easy, first print was perfect. I can't believe hoe good my prints look. Very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best in its class! This is a great desktop photo printer. I bought it to replace an R3000 that I'd owned for six years and began to have a small problem. The image quality from this printer is amazing--simply gorgeous color. The printer comes with excellent paper profiles (for Epson paper). When printing from Photoshop on a color managed system, the prints perfectly match what I see on the screen. The prints are archival in quality and can be sold for top-dollar, fine art prices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect in every way! I have had this printer for a little over a month and I am still excited about it. It was a breeze to set up and the output is breathtaking. My photos have never looked so good. I am particularly impressed by the photos I have printed on Epson metallic paper. Ink usage so far has been more economical than with other printers I have owned. I could not be more pleased than I am with this wonderful printer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good printer The Epson Sure Color P600 makes beautiful color and outstanding black-and- white prints of exhibition quality. The negative side is the limited longevity of the printer. The first one stopped working and the second one had a faulty black ink switch that stopped the printer. I hope the third one will last longer. In spite of this disappointing experience I recommend the printer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ink charging takes forever and ever if it ever completes Bummer, brand new out of the box, followed set up sheet. Installed cartridges, turned on, set language. Power light kept blinking and blinking... there isn't a button on the thing like the old R1800 it replaced to get it to take another look at the cartridges... and nothing on the led display to do so either

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Printing half pages The printer was working fine until I updated the OS to Sierra and now it periodically stops in the middle (more or less) of printing a page. This is a bit of a major problem as this causes me to waste a sheet of paper. 13 x 19 inch Luster paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality prints I make fine art photos, and only print about once weekly, but the quality of the printed photographs is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent printer I haven't had it long, but I'm very impressed at the quality of the prints - both on fine art mat papers and on luster. It handles very thick papers (I use 11x17 Hahnemuhle Museum Etching, a very thick paper) very, very well. It also does great work on printable CDs.

2 Ink used in conversion varies based on temperature, humidity and other factors.

3 Cartridge yields vary considerably for reasons including images printed, print settings, temperature and humidity.
