Place the image you want to scan on a flat surface, free of debris. Place the scanning head on the image and align the front-left scanning guide arrow with the left edge of the image. Click Start from the PC screen or push the start button on the scanning head (the scanning light will turn on). Move the scanner very slowly down the image, making certain that you are keeping the scanning head perfectly straight. If the scanner beeps, slow down the movement of the scanning head. The maximum length or height for hand-held scanning is 10-inches. You may stop before you reach the maximum by pressing the Esc key on your keyboard.
