My image looks posturized with obvious steps between colors instead of blends. Why does it display so poorly on the screen?

• PhotoPlus scans pictures in 24-bit color (16.7 million colors). Make sure your Windows display palette (video driver) is set to high or true color, or at least 256 colors. Image quality also depends on the type of software you are using. If your application does not support 24-bit color, try converting your image to 8-bit color. Please refer to your User's Guide, Chapter 3 page 13, for information about converting image types.
