Why are my pictures displaying so poorly on the screen or when I print them out?

• The PhotoPC 500 captures images in 24-bit color (16.7 million colors). Your pictures will not display maximum image quality if your monitor or your computer's video controller does not support this color depth. You may need to upgrade your system to achieve the best possible image quality. The minimum recommended resolution is 640 x 480 with 256 colors, but 24-bit or 16 million colors is ideal. If your pictures look better on the screen than when you print them, you may need to upgrade your printer. An EPSON Stylus color inkjet printer, for example, produces high resolution, photo-quality images. Another possibility is that you may have checked high-quality when you exported or transferred your image. This feature makes the image larger, but does not increase the resolution. The printed picture may not look as good as it appears on the screen.
