My printout has incorrect margins. What should I do?

  • If you're scanning, make sure you've aligned the document correctly. Place your document or photo in the upper-left corner of the glass, but make sure the top and left edges are about 1/8 inch away from the edges of the glass.

Otherwise, check to see if there is a Printer Friendly Version (or similarly named) icon or link on the web page that you can click on. If not, experiment with page setup and paper size, then select Print Preview from the File menu in your web browser to view the changes.

If you're copying using the buttons on the CX7800, the problem could be caused by any of the following:
    • The paper may be loaded incorrectly. See Loading paper.
    • Your document may not be aligned correctly. Place your document or photo in the upper-left corner of the glass, but make sure the top and left edges are about 1/8 inch away from the edges of the glass.
    • The Copy layout, Zoom In/Out, and Paper Size settings can all affect the size of the margins.

If you're copying a photo, see Copying a Photo.

If you're copying something else, see Copying a Document.
