How do I uninstall the Epson printer and Epson Scan software in Windows or OS X?

  • Follow the instructions below for your operating system.

    Windows
    1. Turn off the all-in-one.
    2. Disconnect the USB cable from the all-in-one.
    3. Click Start or , and select Programs or All Programs.
    4. Select Epson or Epson Printers, open the Artisan 810 Series folder, then select Epson Printer Software Uninstall.

      Note:
      Click Yes (Windows 7) or Continue (Windows Vista), then go to the next step.
    5. In the next window, select the Artisan 810 Series and click OK. Then follow the on-screen instructions.
    6. Open the Windows Control Panel, then click Uninstall a program under Programs (Windows Vista) or double-click Add or Remove Programs (other Windows versions).
    7. Click EPSON Scan in the list of currently installed programs and click Uninstall/Change (Windows 7 or Windows Vista) or Change/Remove (Windows XP or 2000).

      Note:
      With Windows Vista, click Continue, click Next, and continue with step 9.
    8. When the confirmation window appears, click Yes.
    9. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall Epson Scan.

      In some cases, a message may appear to prompt you to restart the computer. If so, make sure Yes, I want to restart my computer now is selected and click Finish.
    10. Restart your computer.
    Macintosh
    1. Insert the Artisan 810 Series software CD-ROM in your CD-ROM or DVD drive.
    2. Double-click the Epson CD-ROM icon on your desktop, if necessary.
    3. Open the Common folder, then open the EPSON Scan folder.
    4. Double-click the EPSON Scan Installer icon.
    5. When the Installer window appears, select Uninstall from the pop-up menu at the top and click the Uninstall button.
    6. In the Common folder, open the Printer folder.
    7. Double click the Installer icon.
    8. When the Installer window appears, select Uninstall from the pop-up menu at the top and click the Uninstall button.
    9. Do one of the following:

      Mac OS X 10.5
      Select System Preferences, select Print & Fax, select the Artisan 810 Series, and then click the  button.
      Mac OS X 10.3 or 10.4
      Open the Applications folder on your hard drive, select Utilities, choose Printer Setup Utility, select the Artisan 810 Series, and click Delete.
    10. Restart your Macintosh.
