Support Printers All-In-Ones WorkForce Series Epson WorkForce WF-2950

I replaced an ink cartridge, but my product shows that the same ink is expended. What should I do?

  • The cartridge may not be installed properly, it may need to be reseated.

    1. Turn on your product.
    2. Lift up the printer cover.

    3. If an ink cartridge is expended, you see a message on the LCD screen. Note which cartridges need to be replaced and follow the on-screen instructions to move the cartridge to the ink cartridge replacement position.
    4. Press the ink cartridge down until it clicks into place. (If a cartridge is properly seated already, you may not hear a click.) Make sure all cartridges are pushed down into place.

    5. Lift the scanner unit up slightly and lower it. When the scanner unit catches, lift it up again and lower it completely.

      Caution:
Be careful not to trap your hand or fingers when opening or closing the scanner unit or you may be injured.

Note: The scanner unit cannot be opened from the position shown below. Close it completely before operating your product or opening the scanner unit again.

    6. Select Completed on the LCD screen. The print head moves to its home position and the product starts charging the ink. This takes a few minutes. When you see a completion message on the screen, ink replacement is finished.
