I replaced an ink cartridge, but my product shows that the same ink is expended. What should I do?
-
The cartridge may not be installed properly, it may need to be reseated.
- Turn on your product.
- Lift up the printer cover.
- If an ink cartridge is expended, you see a message on the LCD screen. Note which cartridges need to be replaced and follow the on-screen instructions to move the cartridge to the ink cartridge replacement position.
- Press the ink cartridge down until it clicks into place. (If a cartridge is properly seated already, you may not hear a click.) Make sure all cartridges are pushed down into place.
- Lift the scanner unit up slightly and lower it. When the scanner unit catches, lift it up again and lower it completely.
Caution:
Be careful not to trap your hand or fingers when opening or closing the scanner unit or you may be injured.Note: The scanner unit cannot be opened from the position shown below. Close it completely before operating your product or opening the scanner unit again.
- Select Completed on the LCD screen. The print head moves to its home position and the product starts charging the ink. This takes a few minutes. When you see a completion message on the screen, ink replacement is finished.
