The Data and Pause lights are flashing. What should I do?

• These lights indicate a carriage error with the printer. Try the following:
  1. Shut printer off
  2. Toggle the platen knob on the right side to ensure it is not stuck
  3. Hold down the Alt, Font, Load/Eject, and Pause buttons while powering the printer back on.
  4. Once all the lights on the printer come on, you can release the 4 buttons.
  5. Attempt to print again. If the error occurs again, then unit may need to be serviced by EPSON.
