I am not getting any ink with the black or the color cartridges when printing the Demo page. What should I do?

  • If this is a new installation or if the ink cartridge has just been replaced, try reclamping the ink cartridge. With the printer ON, hold down the Load/Eject button until the print head unit moves to the left. Lift the olive-colored ink cartridge clamp, but do not remove the ink cartridge. Lower the clamp until it clicks into place to ensure that you have broken the cartridge seal. You should hear a good solid click. Press the Load/Eject button to recharge the ink delivery system, then try printing the Demo page again. If you still do not see any ink on the page, perform two cleaning cycles (Cleaning button). You may need to run several cleaning cycles before the print quality improves. If this does not correct the problem, the printer may need to be sent in for service. If the printer is within the dealer's exchange period, have the printer exchanged.
