Which connection provides the fastest throughput on my Mac or PC system?
- FireWire technology provides the fastest throughput. It communicates with external peripherals at up to 400MB per second. A USB connection provides the second fastest throughput and an Ethernet connection is the third fastest. A parallel connection on a PC system is the slowest.
