• Cleaning cycles are necessary only if you see horizontal or vertical banding in your printouts. They may also improve print quality if your documents are faint, the colors are incorrect, or colors are missing. You can periodically print a nozzle check pattern to ensure the print head and printer are functioning properly. Also turn on the printer at least once a month to keep the nozzles clean.
