My computer doesn't recognize the product when I connect it to a USB port. What should I do?
- The scanner must be connected to a built-in (root) hub or first tier hub only. If it is attached to a built-in root hub and the scanner isn't recognized, check the computer documentation to see if the USB port needs to be enabled in the computer's setup. If the scanner is attached to a first tier hub, that hub must be self-powered (i.e., an AC adapter should be attached). Be sure to use the USB cable that came with your scanner. Turn off both the scanner and your computer. Then turn on your scanner before you turn on the computer. If the scanner is connected to a USB hub, try connecting the cable to the computer's USB port instead.
