How often should I shake the ink cartridges?

• To maintain print quality, you must do the following:

  • Shake the White ink cartridges at the start of every working day or when a message is displayed.
  • Shake the color ink cartridges at least once a month.

  Shake each cartridge as shown below. For new ink cartridges, rapidly shake each cartridge for about 15 seconds. For White ink, flip the cartridge over as shown and repeat.
  

  Caution:
  Do not touch the IC chip on the end of each cartridge; otherwise, the cartridge may not be recognized, or the printer may not print properly.
