How do I set up my product for wireless printing in Windows or on my Mac?
-
You can download the software from the Drivers & Downloads page for your product. The software for your product will explain how to set it up.
You must install the software on every computer from which you want to print.
You need to know your network name (SSID) and network password before setting up your product on your wireless network. This information is stored in your network's router, and may have been entered when the router was first set up. If you don't know this information, you'll need to contact the manufacturer of your router or the person who set up your network. You may also be able to log onto the router from your computer and check its setup screens. See your router's instruction manual for details.
Note: The network name and security key or passphrase are case sensitive. Be sure to correctly note uppercase, lowercase, and numeric/special letters.
If the WEP key is 5 or 13 characters, it's ASCII. Of the WEP key is 10 or 26 characters, it's hexadecimal.
Your printer supports the following wireless security modes: WEP, WPA, and WPA2.
