The remote control doesn't work. What should I do?

• Check the following:
  • Make sure you're within 20 feet of the projector, and within range of the projector's front or back sensor as specified below:

  Front Sensor
  Position	Range
  Right / Left	-60 to +60 degrees
  Upper / Lower	-30 to +45 degrees

  
  

  Rear Sensor
  Position	Range
  Right / Left	-30 to +30 degrees
  Upper / Lower	-30 to +30 degrees

  • Make sure the projector's sensors have not been turned off with the Remote Receiver setting. See Customizing Projector Features.
  • If any buttons are held for longer than 30 seconds, the remote enters sleep mode. Release any button that is held to wake the remote.
  • The remote control batteries may not be installed correctly or may be low on power. See Replacing the Batteries.
  • Dim the room lights and turn off any fluorescent lights. Make sure the projector is not in direct sunlight. Strong lighting, especially fluorescent lights, may affect the projector's infrared receivers. Also, turn off any nearby equipment that emits infrared energy, such as a radiant room heater. To avoid interference, you can also turn off the projector's front or back sensor with the Remote Receiver setting, but this may limit where you can use the remote control.
  • If you're using the remote control as a wireless mouse, make sure the USB Type B setting in the Extended menu is set to Link 21L. See Customizing Power and Operation.
  • Make sure there are no objects between the remote control and the IR receiver.
  • If you're using the projector's remote control ID system, make sure the remote control is set so it's ID matches that is set to match the projector you're using. See Operating Two or More Projectors with the Remote Control for more information.
