Support Projectors EX Series Epson Pro EX7280

How do I connect my projector wirelessly to my Windows or Mac computer?

  • Install the wireless LAN module as instructed in your product's online User's Guide, and then install the Epson iProjection (Windows/Mac) software on the computer from which you will project.

Note: The wireless LAN module is not included with the EX5280/EX9230 and is optional. You can purchase the wireless LAN module (part number V12H005A02) from the Epson Store. The wireless LAN module is not needed for the EX7280/Pro EX9240 since the wireless functionality is built-in.

After you install the wireless LAN module and software, do the following to select the network settings on your projector:

    1. Turn on the projector.
    2. Press the Menu button on the remote control, select the Network menu, and then press Enter.
    3. Make sure the Wireless LAN Power setting is set to On.
    4. Select Network Configuration and press Enter.
    5. Select the Wireless LAN menu and press Enter.
    6. Select Connection Mode and press Enter.
    7. Do one of the following:
      • To connect directly to a computer, select Quick and press Enter. To include a security setting for your connection, select Security, set the setting to WPA2-PSK, and then press Esc. Then select Passphrase and enter a passphrase of 8 characters or more, select Finish, and then press Enter. When you are finished, press Esc as necessary to exit the Wireless LAN menu.

Note: The passphrase is case sensitive.

Select Complete and follow the on-screen instructions to save your settings and exit the menus. See Connecting the Projector and a Computer Directly Using Wireless Communication to connect your projector.

      • To connect to a router or access point, select Advanced and press Enter. Press Esc as necessary to return to the Wireless LAN menu and continue with the steps below.
        1. Select Search Access Point and press Enter.
        2. Use the arrow buttons on the remote control to select your network name (SSID) in the list of available connections. Enter your network password on the screen that appears, if necessary.
        3. Select Finish and press Enter.
        4. Select IP Settings and press Enter. If your network assigns addresses automatically, make sure DHCP is turned on. Otherwise, turn off DHCP and manually enter the projector's IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway Address as needed.
        5. Press Esc as necessary to exit the Wireless LAN menu.
        6. Select Complete and follow the on-screen instructions to save your settings and exit the menus.
        7. Make sure the computer is connected to the same wireless network as the projector. See Connecting to the Projector from the Software over a Network System to connect your projector.
