I see a color cast over the projected image. What should I do?
-
Try the following:
- Make sure you are projecting onto a white wall. Projecting onto walls of other colors will impact the overall color cast of the projected image.
Note: Use of a projector screen is recommended.
- If you are using an HDMI connection, make sure the cable is securely connected to the projector and video source. If that does not help, try using a different cable.
-
If you are using a HDMI cable longer than 24 feet, try using a 6-foot cable. Connect the cable directly from the source device to the projector. Should the image quality improve, try using a HDMI cable designed for long runs, like a fiber optic HDMI cable.
- Try changing the color mode setting on the projector. See the table below for the Color Mode options.
You can set the projector to use these Color Modes, depending on the input source you are using:
Color Mode Description Dynamic Best for video games in a bright room Vivid Best for projecting general content in a bright environment Presentation Best for color presentations in a bright room Cinema Best for projecting movies in a dark environment sRGB Best for standard sRGB computer displays Blackboard Best for presentations onto a green chalkboard (adjusts the colors accordingly) - Make sure you are projecting onto a white wall. Projecting onto walls of other colors will impact the overall color cast of the projected image.
