Rated 3 out of 5 by from Do you enjoy reinstalling your printer every month? This printer does a beautiful job printing. Very frustrating to have to reinstall the printer frequently. I didn't have this problem with my R3000. I'm running with a Mac Book Pro and Catalina, up to date. I'm beginning to wonder if the printer is compatible with the software. In addition, the manual is not real clear--got to run, time to reinstall.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Print problems I have had this for several months and CANNOT get rid of the Magenta Color Cast in my prints. I see online that many others are having the same problem but haven’t found a successful solution to this troublesome issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fine when it works Great prints when it works but the drivers have to be reloaded every few months. It gets strange margin and size errors with no clear answer from Epson.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Setup Easy setup to make the Epson P800 run on WiFi. I have had much harder printers to set up in the past and was dredding this momnet. With the help from the download on Epsons webpage I had easy step-by-step instructions and never had a single issue during the entire process!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent photo printer I purchased this printer 1 year ago new from Epson.com. It worked great, printing from Adobe Photoshop Elements 15, then switched to Elements 19 and continued to work well. About 2 months ago, however, my prints from Elements degraded, printing much more drab photos, not at all like what I originally got from the SureColor P800 printer. Working with Apple (I use an iMac 2017) Support over 2 sessions totaling over 4 hours, we were not able to get a reasonable print from Elements. I have contacted Epson and Adobe for assistance, and not heard from them yet. I love the way the computer/printer was working, but not right now. One note, when I do print from iMac’s Preview app, I do get reasonable prints, even when I say “let photoshop manage…” I love the printer, just want to get it corrected for printing. I recently downloaded printer drivers a second time to (10-19 update) see if that would correct, but alas it has not. Would love if someone could help me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first photo printer was Epson 3880. 8 years of hard work. After 8 years of solid hard work [no issues] it finally failed. I liked it so much, I stayed with Epson. Now I am working with a SureColor P800. I have faith in Epson. It is set up and the test page printed perfectly. I'm pleased. jb

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beware of Pizza Wheels... Went with refurbished to save some money. I've been through 4 replacement units in total due to a variety of issues such as printer roller wheels (AKA "Pizza Wheels) and expired ink cartridges. For matte paper and fine art paper this printer works great (hence two stars) but I have to deduct two stars from the 5 as every glossy paper with photo black ink and dark backgrounds has the dreaded pizza wheels. They are not very visible to the untrained eye, but once you see them, you can't forget them. Deduct another star as a printer of this price range (in my opinion) should have zero issues with printer roller wheels. For example, I purchased a Canon Pro 100 to compare (which is much cheaper) and no issues with pizza wheels. You need to think carefully about this printer and know what you're getting into. Epson support is great-they'll send you replacement units if needed-but this printer is not without it's limitations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine printer, great results. bonus of roll paper Bought as photography hobbyist, previously had 2400 which was forever clogging. No issues with this. Highly recommended

Rated 4 out of 5 by from it worked I just unpacked and set up the machine. outside of forgetting my wi-fi network password about nine times, set-up was pretty uneventful (they use about 4.26 miles of blue tape to protect the machine during shipping, which killed my fingernails during removal). Haven't tried it yet, but I'll try moving it to its permanent location once I check and see if my hernia's up to it.

1 Ink lightfastness rating based on accelerated testing of prints on specialty media, displayed indoors, under glass. Actual print stability will vary according to media, printed image, display conditions, light intensity, humidity and atmospheric conditions. Epson does not guarantee longevity of prints. For maximum print life, display all prints under glass or lamination or properly store them. Visit www.wilhelm-research.com for the latest information.

2 2 Cartridge yields vary considerably based on images printed, print settings, paper type, frequency of use and temperature. For print quality, a variable amount of ink remains in the cartridge after the "replace cartridge" indicator comes on. The printer ships with 64 mL initial cartridges and part of the ink from the first cartridges is used for priming the printer.

3 Ink used in conversion varies considerably based on temperature and other factors.

4 Not all paper types or widths supported. Printer does not have an auto cutter; manual cut required. See the documentation at www.epson.com/support/p800 for details.

5 Print times are based upon print engine speeds only. Total throughput depends upon front-end driver/RIP, file size, printing resolution, ink coverage, network speed, etc. All times are in bidirectional print mode at 1440 x 720 dpi.

6 Wi-Fi CERTIFIED; level of performance subject to the range of router being used. Wi-Fi Direct may require printer software.
