My printout has incorrect or missing colors. What should I do?
The problem could be due to a software setting, the all-in-one's condition, or the paper you're using. Check the following:
- Make sure your Windows, Macintosh OS X 10.5, or Macintosh OS X 10.3 to 10.4 printer software is not set to print in Black/Grayscale or Grayscale.
- For best results, use genuine Epson ink and paper.
- The print head nozzles may need cleaning.
- The ink cartridges may be old or low on ink, and you may need to replace them.
- Try turning off Fix Photo in the Windows printer software or on the all-in-one's control panel.
- With Macintosh OS X 10.5 or Macintosh OS X 10.3 to 10.4, try using Automatic mode.
- Try changing the Gamma setting in your Windows or Macintosh printer software.
- Your printed colors can never exactly match your on-screen colors. However, you can use a color management system to get as close as possible. Try using the ICM (Windows), ColorSync (Macintosh OS X 10.3 to 10.4), or Fix Photo (Macintosh OS X 10.5) setting.
- If you're using color management in your application, select Off (No Color Adjustment) for the Color Management setting in the printer software (Windows, Macintosh OS X 10.5, or Macintosh OS X 10.3 to 10.4).
