My printout has incorrect or missing colors. What should I do?
The problem could be due to a software setting, the all-in-one's condition, or the paper you're using. Check the following:
- Make sure the paper Type or Media Type setting in the Windows, Mac OS X 10.5/10.6, or Mac OS X 10.4 printer driver matches the paper you loaded.
- Make sure your Windows, Mac OS X 10.5/10.6, or Mac OS X 10.4 printer software is not set to print in Black/Grayscale.
- For best results, use genuine Epson ink and paper.
- Print a nozzle check pattern. If there are gaps, clean the print head.
- Try turning off Fix Photo in the Windows or Mac OS X 10.5/10.6 printer software.
- With Mac OS X 10.5/10.6 or Mac OS X 10.4, try using Automatic mode.
- Try changing the Gamma setting in your Windows, Mac OS X 10.5/10.6, or Mac OS X 10.4 printer software.
- Use a color management system. Try using the ICM (Windows) or ColorSync (Mac OS X 10.4).
In Mac OS X 10.5/10.6, you can select ColorSync from the Color Matching pop-up menu.
- Check the ink cartridge status. If any ink cartridge is low, you may need to replace it to improve print quality.
