I see horizontal or vertical lines in my printout. What should I do?
-
Perform a nozzle check from the printer's control panel or the Epson printer driver, then do one of the following:
- If there are gaps in the nozzle check pattern, clean the print head nozzles. See your product's online User's Guide for instructions.
- If there are no gaps in the nozzle check pattern, try the following:
Horizontal Banding
- Increase the print resolution.
- Turn off Simple Settings and uncheck the High Speed setting in the printer driver.
- Select an alternate paper profile for ink coverage.
- Select the correct paper type in the printer driver.
Vertical Banding
- Turn off Simple Settings and uncheck the High Speed setting in the printer driver.
- Align the print head.
Note: If cleaning the print head or performing a print head alignment does not resolve the problem, try adjusting the paper feed on the product control panel. To adjust the paper feed, do the following: Select > Paper Settings > paper source > Print Adjustments > Paper Feed Adjust > Manual, then follow the on-screen instructions to make adjustments.
