Does the printer operator need to wear safety equipment?

  • Yes. Since the UV ink used to print is chemical ink and can cause skin irritation and discomfort, the operator should wear the following:

    • Gloves (Polyethylene gloves, with an inner nylon glove and an outer latex glove).
    • Goggles, safety glasses, or a face shield
    • Long sleeve shirts and long pants (a solvent-resistant apron is also recommended.)
    • A mask
