I am unable to install my product software with my product connected to my Windows 8 system via a USB cable. What should I do?

Follow the instructions below to delete the in-box driver (Print Class driver) and then install the full version driver from the product CD or from the download package.
- Disconnect the USB cable from your computer.
- Click the Desktop icon/tile on your Windows 8 Start screen.
- Right-click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
- Click Hardware and Sound.
- Click Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your product's name.
- Click Remove Device.
- Restart your computer.
Note: Do not connect your Epson printer to your computer until advised to do so by the CD or Download installer.
If your Epson product CD indicates support for Windows 8, follow the instructions that came with your Epson product to install the driver and other software.
If your Epson product CD does not indicate support for Windows 8, do not insert your Epson product software CD in your Windows 8 system. Follow the instructions below to obtain the latest software and utilities from the Downloads tab for your product.
- Go to the main Epson support page, select your product category, then select your product name.
- Select Downloads.
- Select Drivers and Utilities Combo Package, then select Download Now.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
