Which flash cards are compatible with the camera?

  • To increase picture capacity you can use approved ATA-compatible CompactFlash memory cards. To prevent incompatibility problems which have been reported, make sure to use CompactFlash memory cards that have been tested and approved by Epson from the following manufacturers.
If you want to know the number of pictures that can be taken with a flash card, divide the CompactFlash memory card's MB capacity by the file size of your pictures. For example if your taking high resolution 1280 x 960 size pictures and the picture file size is around 450KB, 16MB divided by 450KB would hold about 35 pictures. If you're only taking 640 x 480 size pictures (around 70KB) it would be 16MB divided by 70KB or about 228 pictures. Of course, each of these picture file sizes vary depending on the picture and that will affect the actual number of pictures that will fit on the flash card.
