When I start Epson Scan, my thumbnail preview is grayed out. What should I do?

When the ADF is attached to the scanner, the thumbnail preview is grayed out. To enable the thumbnail preview, Do the following:
- Turn off the scanner.
- Disconnect the ADF option cable from the scanner.
- Turn on the scanner.
The thumbnail preview option should now be available.
