I see only a few dots in my scanned image. What should I do?

Try the following:
- Clean the glass surface inside the scanner.
- Try scanning at a higher resolution.
- When scanning with the Black & White setting, change the Threshold setting. See Adjusting the Color and Other Image Settings.
