How can I scan something that doesn't fit under the document cover?

• When you scan a large or thick document you can lift the scanner cover to accommodate the documents

  Caution: Do not place heavy objects on the scanner glass and do not press on the glass with too much force, or it may damage the scanner. Do not leave photos on the scanner glass for an extended period, or they may stick to the glass.

  Try the following:

  1. Open the scanner cover.
  2. Place the large or other thick document face-down on scanner glass. Make sure the upper left corner of the document or photo is against the corner of the scanner, next to the raised arrow mark.
  3. Gently close scanner cover and hold it down as you scan.
  Note: The scanner cover will lift from the base of scanner.
  4. Start scanning.
