Why can't I find the media type in the drop-down menu after I downloaded the ICC profiles?

  • An ICC profile is a file that describes how a particular device reproduces color. The profiles downloaded from the Epson website do not change the quality settings in the driver (Text/Image, Photo, Best Photo, Photo RPM). The profiles are used in an application such as Photoshop to produce colors more accurately, so they stay consistent when printed. When profiles are used properly, they serve to convert RGB values to CMYK and vice versa. The media types in the printer driver drop-down list do not change. If the media you are using is not listed, select the media type that is closest to the media you are printing on for best results. It is also recommended that you check the Paper section in the Epson support site for changes in media type names.
