My product is offline or displays a communication error when I try to print. What should I do?

Make sure the product is powered on and try the following:
USB connection- Check the product lights and follow the instructions to solve them.
- Make sure you are choosing the correct printer when printing. If there are multiple copies of the same printer driver, remove the ones not in use.
- Make sure the USB cable is a shielded "AB" cable not more than 6.5 feet (2 meters) long.
Note: Do not use devices that extend the length of the cable because they can cause signal degradation. - If you're using a USB hub with your printer, connect the printer directly to your computer.
Note: Do not connect through a USB keyboard. The keyboard acts like a hub and can interfere with signal transmission. - Connect the USB cable to another USB port on your computer.
- Use a different USB cable.
Make sure that the product is turned on, and that your router, access point, switch, or hub's link LED for the port the product is connected to is on or flashing. If the link LED is off, try the following:- Check the product lights and follow the instructions to solve them.
- Make sure you are choosing the correct printer when printing. If there are multiple copies of the same printer driver, remove the ones not in use.
- Make sure one end of an Ethernet cable is securely connected to the LAN port on the product and the other end is connected to any available LAN port on your router, access point, switch, or hub.
- Try connecting to another port on your router, access point, switch, or hub.
- Try connecting the product to another router, access point, switch or hub.
- Try connecting the product to your router, access point, switch, or hub with another Ethernet cable.
