How do I print in black/grayscale only?
Follow the steps below for your operating system to select Black/Grayscale in the product driver.
Note: To keep the print head clear and ready to print, the product uses a small amount of ink from all the cartridges whenever it prints. Even if you select Black/Grayscale, some color ink is still being used.
Black/Grayscale is not recommended for printing black-and-white photos.
- Open the File menu and select Print.
Click Properties or Preferences, and click the Main tab.
Under Print Options, select Black/Grayscale and click OK.
Note: Black/Grayscale allows you to print in shades of gray.
Open the File menu and select Print.
With Macintosh OS X 10.5.x or 10.6.x, click the button to expand the Print window, if necessary.
- Make sure the correct product is selected, and select Print Settings from the product options pop-up menu.
- Select Grayscale in the Print Settings window.
