An area I highlighted with a fluorescent (or neon) marker does not appear in my scan. What should I do?

• Try using a non-fluorescent marker. This limitation occurs with a scanner that uses a contact image sensor (CIS). CIS technology cannot detect fluorescent marks accurately, especially yellow marks.

  If you need to scan a document with fluorescent marks, we recommend you use a scanner with charge-coupled device (CCD) technology, which can detect fluorescent marks. The following Epson products feature CCD technology:
