I see the message Encryption credentials have expired on my Mac. My printout does not print, and the print queue is paused. What should I do?

  • Update your product's date and time so it matches the date and time on your computer, and update the product’s SSL Certificate.  To update these settings, follow the instructions below.

    1. Open Safari and enter the product's IP address in the browser's address bar. The product's WebConfig page appears.

      Note: You can print a network status sheet to find your product's IP address. Your product must be connected to your computer with a wireless or Ethernet connection to obtain an IP address.

    2. Click Show Details.
    3. Click Visit this website.
    4. Click Visit Website, enter your password, and select Update Settings.
    5. Select System Settings > Date and Time > Date and Time.
    6. Set the Date and Time to match the date and time on your computer, then click OK
    7. On the WebConfig page, select Network Security Settings > SSL/TLS > Certificate > Update.
    8. Select 10 for the Certificate Validity (year) setting, then click Next
    9. Click OK.
    10. Open the menu, select System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > [your printer] > Open Print Queue, then click  Resume to print.

    Note: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, uninstall your product software. You can use the Uninstaller utility from the Downloads tab on the product's support page to uninstall your product software from your Mac. Then download and install the Drivers and Utilities Combo Package. Open the file you downloaded and follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall the software.
