How do I print a borderless photo from Windows or my Mac?

  • Make sure you load a compatible borderless paper size and type. Then follow the steps below for your operating system.

    Windows

    1. Open a photo or document for printing.
    2. Select the print command in your application.

      Note: You may need to select a print icon on your screen, the Print option in the File menu, or another command. See your application's help utility for details.

    3. If necessary, select your product name as the printer you want to use.

      Note: You may also need to select Printer Properties, Properties, or Preferences to view your print settings.

      You see the Main tab of your printer settings window:


    4. Select a borderless paper type as the Paper Type setting.
    5. Select a borderless paper size as the Document Size setting.
    6. Click OK.

    Mac

    1. Open a photo or document for printing.
    2. Select the print command in your application.

      Note: You may need to select a print icon on your screen, the Print option in the File menu, or another command. See your application's help utility for details.

    3. Select your product as the Printer setting.
    4. If necessary, click the arrow next to the Printer setting or the Show Details button to expand the print window. You see the expanded printer settings window for your product:

      Note: The print window may look different, depending on the operating system version and the application you are using.

    5. Select a borderless paper size as the Paper Size setting or a paper size with a Borderless option.

      Note: If you do not see these settings in the print window, check for them in your application before printing. They may be accessible by selecting Page Setup from the File menu.

    6. Select Print Settings or Printer Features from the pop-up menu.

      You see these settings:


    7. Select a borderless paper type as the Media Type setting.
    8. Select the Borderless checkbox, if necessary.

      Note: You must select a compatible borderless paper type and size to print without borders. Check the borderless paper compatibility list for details in the product's User's Guide.
