How do I replace an ink cartridge?
- Install replacement ink cartridge when an ink low or out condition occurs - Remove the yellow tape seal from the ink cartridge. Do not remove the blue label from the top of the ink cartridge. The ink in a cartridge missing the blue label will be exposed to air and will thicken such that print head clogging and possible print head failure can occur. Power off and on the printer. Press down the cleaning button and hold it for 5 seconds until the print heads move to the left. After replacing the old ink cartridge with the new one, press the cleaning button to begin charging the ink delivery system. Charging takes about two minutes and is complete when the power light stops flashing. Caution: If the blue label has been removed from the ink cartridge, do not install the cartridge. If you have already installed it, even if the printer is printing correctly, change the cartridge immediately. If you have already installed the cartridge and now the nozzle check will not print completely even after running a few cleaning cycles, the printer may need service and you should contact Epson technical support for assistance.
