What is the difference between the gloss and matte black inks?

• The gloss and matte black ink are highly durable pigment-based inks and are BS5609 certified₁. The matte black ink creates a darker black when printed on matte media and a richer image on plain media. The gloss black ink is similar to the ink used by the Epson ColorWorks C7500G. The gloss black ink can be used to print on a wider range of substrates.
