Does an alarm sound when an error occurs?

Yes, the buzzer sounds if the Error Tone setting is on. The setting is turned on by default.
If you need to turn on this setting, press the Menu button on the control panel to display the menu screen. Use the control panel to select the Basic Settings menu and then select Sounds > Error Tone > Volume > 3.
