What conditions do my product's status lights indicate?

  • The lights on top of the projector indicate the projector's status and let you know when a problem occurs.

    Indicator Light StatusDescription
    Power LightWon't turn onMake sure the power cord is connected securely both at the power outlet and the projector. If you have just replaced the lamp, make sure the cover is securely fastened.
    Power Light GreenThe projector is operating normally.
    Power Light Flashing greenThe projector is warming up. Wait for the image to appear.
    Power LightOrangeThe projector is in standby mode. You can unplug it or press the Power button to turn it on.
    Power LightFlashing OrangeThe projector is cooling down. Wait for the light to become solid before unplugging it.
    Lamp/TemperatureFlashing orange (quickly)The projector is too hot. Make sure the temperature surrounding the projector does not exceed 950F and there is plenty of space around and under the projector for ventilation. Clean the air filter, if necessary.
    Lamp/Temperature Flashing red (half-second intervals)The lamp may be burned out. First make sure the lamp cover is securely installed. If that's not the problem, remove the lamp and replace it.
    Lamp/TemperatureFlashing red (1-second intervals)There is an internal error in the projector. Turn the projector off and unplug it. Contact EPSON for help.
    Lamp/TemperatureRedThe projector is overheating, which turns the lamp off automatically. Wait until the cooling fan stops, then unplug the power cord. Plug the power cord back in and press the Power button. Make sure the room temperature is not above 95 0F (35 0C) and there is plenty of space around and under the projector for ventilation.

    The air filter may be clogged. Clean or replace it.

    If the projector continues to overheat after you clean the air filter, the problem may be caused by damage to the cooling fan or temperature sensor. Contact EPSON for help.
