When I use my Quick Wireless USB key for an Ad Hoc connection with my Windows 7 laptop, I see the error SSID switching failed. What should I do?

Newer laptops with Windows 7 may have a virtual wireless adapter (Microsoft Virtual wireless adapter or Broadcom Virtual wireless adapter) driver installed that may cause the quick wireless connection to fail in Ad Hoc mode. Try the following:
- Open the Windows Control Panel (make sure View by: is set to Large Icons) and double-click Device Manager.
- Expand Network Adapters.
- Locate the virtual wireless adapter (Microsoft Virtual wireless adapter or Broadcom Virtual wireless adapter), right-click and disable it.
- Try reconnecting the Quick Wireless USB key again.
