Nothing projects on the screen. What should I do?

• Try the following:
  • Make sure the A/V Mute slide is open.
  • Press the A/V Mute button on the remote control to see if the picture was turned off temporarily.
  • Press the projector's power button to wake it from standby or sleep mode. Also see if your connected computer is in sleep mode or displaying a blank screen saver.
  • If you unplugged the projector and plugged it right back in, press the power button to turn on the projector (with Direct Power On enabled).
  • Check the settings on the Signal menu to make sure they are correct for the current video source.
  • Adjust the Brightness setting in the Image menu (see Image Quality Settings - Image Menu) or select the Normal Power Consumption setting (see Projector Feature Settings - Settings Menu).
  • If the projector doesn't turn on, the Control Panel Lock function may be enabled. Press and hold the Enter button on the projector for 7 seconds to release the lock.
  • If the power was switched off and then on again, wait until the  Power light stops flashing and remains orange. Then press the  Power button again.
  • Check the Video Signal or Computer Input setting in the Signal menu to make sure it is correct for the selected source. See Input Signal Settings - Signal Menu.
  • Messages may have been turned off in the Display setting of the Extended menu. See Projector Setup Setings - Extended Menu.
  • Make sure your cable(s) are connected correctly. See Setting up the Projector.
  • If the projector does not respond when you press buttons on the remote control, make sure the remote receivers are turned on.
  • If you've connected a laptop computer with a VGA cable, make sure it's set to display on an external monitor.
  If you're using a PC notebook:
  • Press the function key that lets you display on an external monitor. It's often labeled with an icon such as , but it may also be labeled CRT/LCD. You may have to hold down the Fn key while pressing it. Check your laptop's manual or online help.
    
    On most systems, the key lets you toggle between the LCD screen and the projector, or display on both at the same time. Allow a few seconds for the projector to sync up after pressing it.
    
    If that doesn't work, press the ? Help button on the projector for a list of laptop brand-specific button combinations you can press to switch to an external display.
  • If the function key doesn't let you display simultaneously on both screens, you might need to use the Display utility in the Windows Control Panel to make sure that both the LCD screen and external monitor port are enabled. From the Windows Control Panel, open the Display utility. Click the Settings tab, then click Advanced. The method for adjusting the setting varies from computer to computer; you may need to click a Monitor tab, then make sure the external Monitor port is set as your primary display or enabled. See your computer manual or online help for details.
  
  If you're using Macintosh OS X:
  1. Select System Preferences from the Apple menu and click Display or Displays.
  2. Click Detect Displays.
  3. Do one of the following:
     
     Mac OS X 10.6: Click Show displays in the menu bar.
     
     Other versions of Mac OS X: Make sure the VGA Display or Color LCD dialog box is selected. Click the Arrangement or Arrange tab and make sure the Mirror Displays checkbox is selected.
