The image is too dark or light, or the colors are incorrect. What should I do?

  • Because of the different technologies used, your projected image may not exactly match the colors on your notebook or computer monitor.
    • Make sure the cables are securely connected.
    • Press the Color Mode button on the remote control to select a different color mode. See Adjusting the Color Mode.
    • If you're displaying video, adjust the Color Saturation and Tint settings in the Image menu. See Adjusting the Image.
    • Adjust the Brightness, Contrast and Color Adjustment settings on the Image menu. See Adjusting the Image.
    • Try changing the Power Consumption in the Settings menu. See Customizing Projector Features.
    • Make sure the input signal setting on the Signal menu matches the signal from the connected device. See Adjusting Signal Settings.

      If the image is too purple and you've connected a computer or RGB video device to the Computer1 or Computer2 port, select RGB as the Input Signal setting. If you've connected a component video device to one of these ports, select Component.

      If you're projecting from a composite video or S-Video source, make sure the correct Video Signal is selected on the Signal menu.
    • Check your computer display settings to correct the color balance.
    • If the image seems dark, the lamp may be nearing time for replacement. See Replacing the Lamp.
    • In the Image menu, select Reset to change the color settings back to their defaults.
