The image from my computer appears stretched when it's projected. What should I do?
-
Try the following:
- If the computer is connected to the projector with a VGA or HDMI (PowerLite 1760W/1770W/1775W only) cable, press the Aspect button on the remote control to select a different aspect (width to height) ratio (see Image Aspect Ratio) or select the correct Aspect setting from the Signal menu (see Input Signal Settings - Signal Menu).
- Make sure your computer's resolution setting is correct. If the computer is connected to the projector with a USB cable, the computer display resolution must be between 640 x 480 and 1600 x 1200 (Windows) or 1680 x 1200 (Macintosh) to project using USB. If connected with a VGA or HDMI (PowerLite 1760W/1770W/1775W only) cable, see Supported Video Display Formats.
- If the computer is connected to the projector with a VGA cable, check the projector's Resolution setting. See Input Signal Settings - Signal Menu. Set it to Auto to have the projector automatically identify the resolution of the input signal. If necessary, select Wide (for widescreen images) or Normal (for 4:3 ratio images).
- You may need to modify existing presentation files if you created them for a different resolution. See your software documentation for specific information.
